Terms of service

This document describes the terms on which formatika provides file processing. By using the service you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What the service does

The service transforms files: converts image formats, resizes, compresses, crops and rotates them. The catalogue lists every tool and what it can do, and it is open to everyone without an account.

Some operations run in your browser and never reach our server at all. When the browser cannot handle it — the file is too large, or the format is unfamiliar to it — the work happens on the server instead.

What it costs

The main path is free and stays free: a daily allowance of jobs needs neither payment nor an account. The allowance is described on the pricing page.

Beyond the allowance, work is paid for with credits. Credits are bought in packs at the prices shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Credits do not expire.

Credits are a way of accounting for services rendered, not money. They cannot be exchanged back for currency, except in the refund case below.

Payment and when the service counts as delivered

Payments are handled by a payment partner. Card details are entered on their side; the service neither receives nor stores them.

Credits appear on your balance as soon as the payment partner confirms the payment, usually in under a minute. Nothing is shipped: the service is delivered through the website.

A service counts as delivered at the moment a job finishes and its result is available for download.

The seller pays professional income tax; the receipt is issued through the «Мой налог» service and sent to the email address given at payment.

What happens to your files

Files are processed automatically. We do not look at them, do not pass them to anyone, and do not use them to train anything.

Inputs and results are kept for a limited time and deleted automatically: two hours for visitors without an account, twenty-four hours for account holders. The deadline is shown on the result screen.

What we do not promise

The service is provided as is. We work to keep it running, but we do not promise it never stops: failures, maintenance and upstream limits happen.

We are not responsible for the content of uploaded files. By uploading a file you confirm you have the right to process it.

Do not upload material whose distribution breaks the law, and do not use the service in a way that degrades it for others.

How the contract is formed

This document is a public offer under article 437(2) of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation: an offer to enter into a paid services contract, addressed to anyone who uses the service.

The contract is formed the moment you do any of the things that plainly signal agreement: create an account, run a file through a tool, or buy credits. Nothing needs signing.

The offer is in force from the moment it appears on this page until it is withdrawn. Changes apply to contracts formed after a new version is published.

Changes

These terms may change. The version published on this page is the one in force. Meaningful changes are marked by the update date at the bottom of the page.

Circumstances beyond control

Neither side is liable for failing to perform when the cause was outside its control: acts of authorities, failures at communication and power suppliers, natural disasters. The side affected tells the other within a reasonable time.

Law and disputes

The contract is governed by the law of the Russian Federation.

A dispute starts as correspondence: send a claim to the address on the contacts page and expect an answer within 30 days. This pre-court step is mandatory. If that fails, the dispute goes to court under Russian law.

The language of the contract and of correspondence is Russian. This English version exists for convenience; where the texts differ, the Russian one governs.
