- Hard to edit: it is a format for reading, not for changing
- Weight depends on what is inside — a scanned page can weigh as much as a book
- Text inside a scan stays a picture until something recognises it

- The layout must not shift on someone else’s device
- Loose pages need to become one file
Common questions
- Does the file get uploaded to a server?
- No. WebP → PDF runs right in your browser and the file never leaves your device. It only goes to a server if the browser cannot cope — and then we delete it within a couple of hours.
- Will transparency survive?
- Yes, PDF supports transparency, so semi-transparent edges stay as they were.
- Can I get the original quality back afterwards?
- Nothing is lost, but nothing is gained either. PDF stores exactly what WebP hands over, including the gaps WebP left behind when it compressed. No tool can bring those back, and the file grows several times over. This conversion makes sense for editing, not for quality.
- How many files, and how large?
- Up to 50 files at a time, 50 MB each. No sign-up, no watermarks.
